Interview with 2Four

Hi 2Four!! Thank you for being a part of our interview process. We are excited to have you!

Thank you so much!

Which artists’ style do you love most?

Well, musically I am all over the board because I love to experiment and blend genres a bunch but I get a lot of vibes from artists like Drake, Partynextdoor, Marshmallow, The Weekend, Wiz Khalifa, and many many more! Way too many to name them all. I just love music, different sounds, and matching it with what vibe I’m feeling.

Do you get attached to some songs more than others?

Of course. I think that there are songs that make you feel certain ways and make you feel certain emotions and feelings. So there are songs that have a stronger impact than others.

What is a musical piece of work that has made a profound impact on you?

I don’t know if there is a singular project that had that kind of effect on me. But I basically think about all of the artists that I listen to, overall like, and sort of wonder how I would sound using certain creative elements. Or if I see something that I can incorporate into my own work and not just musically because I gather ideas and inspiration from many different avenues in the creative space whether it’s art or dance or something of that nature.

How does the vibe of an audience affect your performance?

I think it is a very powerful thing when the audience is engaged and rocking while on stage. You can definitely feel that energy. It’s a little more challenging when the crowd isn’t that way because at the end of the day you still have to put on a show and bring the energy and vigor but having a crowd that’s singing and dancing and vibing with you is a very unique experience.

What makes you feel powerful?

Creating. Just the energy you feel when things are coming together and you are basically molding together sounds and different things that eventually turn into a complete project and you know that it came from you and your creativity and brain. It’s special.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

Before music, I was an athlete and sports was my life. I played many sports and was good and even was on scholarship playing football in college. But that’s when I started to really take my songwriting and career seriously, and it became the only thing I wanted to do. So you could say I traded in sports for music. Now music is my life and I wouldn’t trade it for a thing.
