Global Leaders Gather in New York for United Nations CSW70 Side Event on Women’s Leadership and Justice

Global advocates, diplomats, and humanitarian leaders will convene in New York for a powerful international forum held in conjunction with the United Nations’ annual gathering on women’s advancement. The United Nations NGO MCIF CSW70 Side Event, titled Forum on Global Women’s Leadership, Justice & Action, will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Opera America Center, located at 330 Seventh Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY.

The event is organized by the Miss Caricom International Foundation, an accredited United Nations NGO working globally to empower women and youth through leadership initiatives and humanitarian programs. Held in partnership with 1000 Shades of Women, the forum will spotlight initiatives that promote gender equality, justice, and global collaboration.

This gathering coincides with the historic Commission on the Status of Women—commonly known as CSW—one of the largest global conferences dedicated to advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls worldwide.

Among the notable figures supporting the event is Monica Sanchez, a respected international humanitarian leader recognized for her work promoting global cooperation, peace initiatives, and women’s empowerment. Sanchez has long championed cross-cultural dialogue and advocacy efforts that elevate women’s voices in diplomacy, leadership, and community development.

The theme “Location Change” underscores the evolving global landscape of advocacy and leadership—highlighting the importance of adapting strategies, expanding international alliances, and fostering real action in the pursuit of gender equity. Speakers and participants will discuss policy innovation, community empowerment, and the collective responsibility of governments, NGOs, and cultural leaders in shaping a more just and equitable future.

Representatives from multiple international organizations will participate, including humanitarian groups, cultural foundations, and advocacy networks dedicated to protecting women and children and expanding educational and leadership opportunities worldwide.

The event is expected to attract diplomats, nonprofit leaders, media representatives, and global activists who are attending CSW70 in New York.

Attendance is limited and registration is available through Eventbrite via the QR code provided on the event invitation.

As the United Nations continues to serve as a global stage for dialogue and progress, this forum aims to amplify the voices of women leaders and reaffirm the international community’s commitment to justice, equality, and meaningful change.
