Exclusive Interviw with King Quice

What have you all been working on lately? Any fun projects you want to share? 

I have been working on my introduction to punk/pop rock. My next big project is going to be my punk rock EP titled “Shows Over” coming early 2022

What is your song writing process?

My song writing process is honestly a little strange. I will listen to beats and instrumentals for several hours per day. Eventually I come across something that inspires me to put words to it. I never really have an objective or topic in mind when making music. I like to let my initial reaction to the beat guide my direction of the melody or the message. 

Who are some of your biggest musical influences?

Some of my biggest influences in music are Kendrick Lamar, Tory Lanez, Drake, Rihanna, Michael Jackson,  and more recently Olivia Rodrigo 

Who would be a dream collaboration for you?

My dream collaboration would probably have to be with Doja Cat or Paramore 

Do you have a mantra or piece of advice you carry with you that you like to pass on to other musicians?

My only advice is to embrace the challenges that come with chasing our dreams. It’s what makes the dream worth chasing and the success worth holding on to. 

Any other upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for?

I am in the process of working on my debut album that is looking to drop summer of 2022 titled “Before The Diamonds”
