Interview with Juliah

Firstly, thank you for having me! Means a lot to be able to share a little bit about myself and my passion, music!

I’m a lover of all kinds of art, learning and feeling good with myself and I’m always chasing things that inspire me. I love anything related to design, from interior design to graphics design, I love learning new things, so I love reading, watching movies , documentaries and tv shows, and to travel and to meet new places and cultures. Working out is a big part of my routine as well, and, most importantly, spending time with the ones I love.

What inspires your music the most? Do you listen to other artists to get inspiration and is there a particular song that never fails to move you emotionally?

The outer space, nature and traveling are the ones that inspire me the most. I love to see the world and its wonders, the universe and its mysteries.

Really depends on the mood I’m going for, but “I’m A Mess” by Ed Sheeran always manages to move me, if I’m in a weird place in my mind it takes me out of there, and gives me inspiration and hope, for some reason. Ed is a pro on passing the right emotions through his songs and performances, so at times when I need a boost on hope and faith you’ll find me listening to all songs Ed Sheeran on shuffle and repeat.

You get to listen to one song on repeat for a month – what song are you picking?

At the moment I’ll choose a song by a Brazilian hip/hop artist, AmarElo by Emicida feat. Majur & Pablo Vittar. It’s a masterpiece! The melody, rhythm, and most importantly the lyrics and emotion he managed to pass. To me he makes more than music, he makes anthems.

We all have days that aren’t our best – what do you to get inspired to perform or write music when those days happen?

Nature always frees my mind, so whenever I wanna write on a bad day I go for a walk on a park or a hike. When touring I do the same, either I’ll find some nations park close by, or if there are mountains around I’ll drive through it, anywhere that I feel connected to nature works and makes me feel brand new.

The New Year is fast approaching – are you going to set any new year’s resolutions? If so, any you can share?I don’t usually do resolutions, but 2020 is going to be a big year. I want to get better and better, meet new places, and get to places with my music that I never imagined I’d get. I want to defy myself, be the best that I can. I want to bring people happiness, joy and love, make them feel loved, either though my music or other gestures I can do to help more the others.
