Exclusive Interview with Tryfle
Hi Tryfle! Thank you for being here today!
Please tell us about your upcoming album release!
Thank you for having me. My new project “It’s Not About Me” is my journey to make 100 songs about 100 people in one year.
What was the creative process behind this project?
If you’ve been watching the news humanity is in a pretty messed up place. We’ve truly lost our empathy. We’re so focused on our differences that we’ve forgotten about all of our similarities. If you listen to every song on the album you wouldn’t be wrong to think I’m talking about myself sometimes, but I assure you I’m not. The songs are unique to each person because they all fill out a questionnaire that I made. Once they give me their answer, I make their song based on their energy, personality, and things they’ve gone through.
If you end up breaking the world record for the number of albums released in one year how would you celebrate?
Turn off my phone… I’m kidding. Hopefully, I would be able to go to a basketball game and drink at a bar!
Do you have any superstitions?
I have to do everything I do like I’m not trying or it’s not important. If I make it important I become useless and disgruntled.
How do you normally recharge?
I binge my favorite shows. I just finished “Cobra Kai” season 3 and “Mandalorian”. Now I’m going to watch the next Marvel show “Wandavision”. My girlfriend is very excited about that…
Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire most?
When you hear my lead single Nas of course, Eminem is up there. Linkin Park, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen. All of these artists care deeply about their lyrics and their body of work. They also have longevity and aren’t afraid to diversify their sound
